Front-end framework for static websites

Front-end framework for static websites

My friend and I are interested in developing a website for our business
and we want to take the responsive web design approach in this project as
long as the site will be visited mostly from mobile devices.
The website will be static so we have been searching for a front-end
framework that fits our needs. This are our current options:
Bootstrap: Cool and a lot of community support but widely used (we're not
sure if this is a good thing...). Another concern is that is heavily
focused in design (themes for components that we don't need).
Foundation: We haven't read much about this one but seems to be fine. Not
much design and fluid grid support.
Skeleton: We like Skeleton approach but the grid is fixed to 960px. What
happens with large screens?
Do you have any other options? We don't need any design, only a framework
that could adapt our website to mobile devices and large screen. Do you
have any other suggestions? Maybe we are wrong and is not a good idea to
use a framework and is better to do it all from scratch. Any advice would
be appreciated.
